BI-LO is the name of two separate supermarket/grocery store chains.
BI-LO in the USA
In the USA, BI-LO was established in 1966 and has its headquarters in Mauldin, South Carolina. It operates stores in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Royal Ahold owned it from 2001 until 2005, when it was sold to Lone Star Funds.
BI-LO in Australia
In Australia, BI-LO was established by John Weekes in Adelaide during the late 1970s. It is a major supermarket chain owned and operated by retail giant Coles Myer Limited in parallel to Coles supermarkets. It has more than 200 stores in Australia.
